Who can join PECB Connect? All auditors can join PECB Connect.

 However, to be fully recognized as an auditor on the platform, you need to obtain the Certified Management System Auditor (CMSA) certification. CMSA certification validates your auditing expertise and enhances your credibility, making you more competitive for global auditing opportunities. If you are not yet CMSA-certified, you can still join the platform as an Auditor Trainee, where you will be listed as such.

Fast Track

Choose Fast Track if you:

  • Have 5+ years of auditing experience
  • Prefer a self-paced certification process
  • Opt for a flexible, 1-day e-learning course

Comprehensive Path

Choose Comprehensive Path if you:

CMSA Certification Requirements

Education & Training

Education & Training: A minimum of secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent)
Have a Lead Auditor course or CMSA equivalent to 40 hours training

Professional Experience

Work Experience:
Five years of which two years of work experience in the relative field.

MS experience: at least two years of relevant experience in the implementation, operation, and/or auditing of management systems

Exam and Personality Test

Passing a PECB CMSA certification exam and PECB CMSA
Personality test. Both these assess knowledge of auditing principles, risk-based thinking, and relevant ISO standards.

Ethics & Professional Conduct

Adherance to PECB’s Code of Ethics, ensuring auditors maintain professionalism, integrity, and impartiality.

Application & Fees

Submission of an application for certification.
Payment of applicable certification and exam fees.

To register as an Auditor follow these steps:

  • Visit the Auditor Registration Link: Navigate to the provided link to start the registration process.
  • Create an Account: Sign up for a new account on the registration page.
  • Complete Required Information: Fill in all the necessary details as requested on the form.

PECB Connect is a free platform.

To be eligible to join PECB Connect platform, auditors should meet the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of the updated CMSA Training Course
  • Successful completion of the updated CMSA Exam
  • Successful completion of the Personality Test

Lead Auditor training courses focus on specific management system standards, like ISO 9001, while the Certified IPC Management Systems Auditor (CMSA) training course covers broader auditing principles outlined in ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). CMSA also offers insight into certification bodies' operations, aiding auditors in navigating audits effectively.

With CMSA, our accreditation elevates to level 5, as certified by PECB. This recognition, endorsed by all Certification Bodies within the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), enhances the global acceptance and legitimacy of the CMSA credential.
